Brendan Eich

In 1995, Brendan Eich created JavaScript, a coding language used around the world. JavaScript is used for many websites, pictures, forms, and more, and without it, many of these things wouldn't load. He also co-founded Mozilla, a free software community, in 1998. He was appointed CEO of Mozilla in 2014, but he resigned after only a few days due to numerous issues. Now, he is the CEO of Brave Software, a company that runs the Brave browser and also co-created BAT (Basic Attention Token) which is used to improve how advertising is conducted on digital platforms and is also an in-browser cryptocurrency that rewards users with ads for using the internet. Brendan Eich has had major contributions to computer science and without him, we wouldn't be able to use many other coding and programming languages, and the internet would be harder to use and evolve.
